BCD has launched the next generation of Tripsource, a travel and expense platform designed to transform how corporate travel programs connect, operate and innovate. Built on an Open by Design architecture, Tripsource links travel content, data, AI capabilities and third-party technologies across the entire traveler journey, connecting previously disconnected systems, workflows and data sources into a single experience.
“With this launch, BCD is bringing the industry something it hasn’t seen before—a connected and intelligent travel ecosystem for customers, one where they are no longer constrained by closed systems, fragmented data or isolated technologies,” said Stephan Baars, CEO of BCD. “We are building for the future, with the voice and needs of our customers, and their travelers, at the center of our strategy.”

A more connected approach to travel management
Tripsource brings BCD’s core travel technologies together to simplify program management and create more consistent experiences for travelers, travel managers and service teams worldwide. Key capabilities include:
- A reimagined booking, servicing and trip management experience designed to improve traveler adoption, engagement and satisfaction
- A unified intelligence platform that combines travel, expense, profile and payment data, enhanced by AI and natural language processing
- A single global configuration layer to manage policy, content and servicing rules across every touchpoint
- Access to The BCD Marketplace, featuring more than 70 integrated technology partners across 16 solution categories
- A comprehensive content ecosystem that includes GDS content, NDC offers, airline and hotel direct connects, leading aggregators, rail and car content, and BCD’s proprietary Private Channel
- An AI-powered architecture built on Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that allows AI and connected systems to communicate and work together
Built for the next era of business travel
According to Yannis Karmis, executive vice president of Product Planning & Development at BCD, the platform was built with the future of travel management in mind.
“Corporate travel is entering a new era where intelligence, automation and connectivity will define the traveler experience,” Karmis said. “We didn’t set out to build another booking platform. With this new generation of Tripsource, we’ve built for a future driven by AI and human-AI collaboration.”
Why this matters
Business travel has grown past disconnected tools and siloed data. By bringing content, intelligence, AI and integrated technologies into a single ecosystem, the next generation of Tripsource helps organizations make better decisions, create more seamless traveler experiences and stay ready for what’s next.
