During the 21th edition of the ‘TM Travel Awards’, BCD Travel was declared best ‘Business Travel Agency 2018’. The award was given on Friday Nov. 16 by Travel Magazine during a gala evening in the Hilton Hotel Antwerp.
Travel Magazine is one of the most important media outlets for the travel industry in Belgium and Luxembourg. The magazine has organized the ‘TM Travel Awards’ in Belgium for over two decades, aiming to reward travel companies for their dedication and to boost our industry’s level of respectability.
BCD Travel was nominated in the category ‘Business Travel Agency 2018’, and took the grand prize back home for the third year in a row. The judges were particularly impressed by how BCD Travel is sharing their expertise in digital innovation via a six-part series of Inform reports that explain how travel managers can take advantage of emerging technologies to profoundly improve their travel programs.
“We’re very pleased about this recognition by Travel Magazine”, says Jean-François De Mol from BCD Travel. “We’re finding a knowledge gap within our industry when it comes to digital technology. There’s no shortage of papers exploring the various emerging technologies, but few clearly explain the direct tie-in to managed travel.”
In October, BCD Travel was elected Most Admired Travel Management Company for the sixth time by readers from The Beat. These awards join other recent accolades for BCD Travel including being named one of America’s Best Employers for Women 2018 by Forbes and ranking 29 on a list of 100 companies noted for flexible work environments by Flexjobs, among others.
