2025 Diversity Equity Inclusion Council Announcement

BCD’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Council is celebrating the 2025 cycle with 50 new members. BCD annually invites employees to apply to serve a one-year term championing DEI education and awareness in the region and markets where they work and live. Council members, selected through a process that includes submitting personal statements on their dedication to advancing DE&I initiatives, represent a diverse cross-section of roles and levels within the company. Their responsibilities include:

  • Recommending and supporting DE&I priorities
  • Connecting DE&I initiatives to business units and functions within their regions
  • Participating in workgroups focused on planning and implementing initiatives that support our DE&I framework
  • Fostering a culture of respect, belonging, and equal opportunity for all

Collaboration that drives change

Diverse teams bring a wealth of perspectives that spark innovation and challenge conventional thinking. Council members work across business functions and regions, ensuring DE&I principles are integrated into our company culture and our work with clients, suppliers and partners. Their efforts help shape policies and initiatives that make BCD a more inclusive and equitable workplace.

Why this matters

“A workplace where every individual feels seen, heard, and valued is one where people thrive,” said Yvette Bryant, Senior Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and executive sponsor of the DEI Council.“When employees feel a sense of belonging, they’re more engaged and empowered to do their best work. This commitment to inclusivity doesn’t just attract top talent ‒ it helps us retain employees who are passionate about making a difference. And when our teams succeed, our clients benefit from fresh ideas and forward-thinking solutions.”

A workplace where every individual feels seen, heard, and valued is one where people thrive.

Council members approach DE&I as a business imperative that touches multiple areas, including but not limited to:

  • Employee engagement
  • Innovation
  • Marketplace diversity
  • Market growth
  • Recruitment and retention
  • Supplier partnerships and relationships

“If we think about our own mission here at BCD, ‘Helping people and companies travel smart and achieve more,’ it’s not hard see how having a defined DE&I strategy, smartly executed, can yield positive results,” Bryant said. “Our DE&I Council makes sure, that diversity, equity and inclusion remain at the heart of our business.”
