Taking the burden out of booking business trips
TripSource is visually appealing and thoughtfully laid out, allowing users to effortlessly find what they need through shopping, booking and service features that drive spend management and keep the traveler in program. “When we revamped the TripSource web experience, our primary aim was to tackle the repetitive and tiresome tasks that often burden travelers when organizing their business trips,” said Hannah Kahn, Senior Director of Product Planning at BCD.
“We firmly believe the user experience is paramount in measuring a product’s success. With this in mind, our mission was to craft a straightforward interface that minimizes friction, ensuring a smoother and more efficient journey for users. TripSource aggregates multi-source content so travelers can shop and book the best rates and fares with clear policy guidance.”
Features in the new TripSource desktop experience:
- Add missing segments to a booked trip
- Enhanced sustainability indicators
- Simple navigation to third parties
- Invoice download option (regional availability)
- Airline credit display (regional availability)
TripSource offers freedom to manage business trips independently
The enhanced self-service capabilities grant users the freedom to download invoices, cancel trip segments, and use the message center more effectively. The booking experience has been significantly expanded with enriched content, clearer display of airline credits, and prominent amenity options, like meal selection and seat map information, including row number, aisle position, accessibility of the seat, exit row indication and extra legroom availability. Navigation improvements include a revamped home page, seamless access to third-party services, and easily locatable help options.
““The traveler remained our central focus through the development process. We carefully considered their needs, preferences, and values, striving to enhance their engagement at each touchpoint. By prioritizing their experience, we anticipate higher program compliance, improved management capabilities, and ultimately, greater traveler satisfaction.”
The desktop workspace has been optimized with a user-centric design, tailored features aligned with user journeys, and a notably enhanced Arranger view where users can see all traveler trips in a single display. This supports duty of care and departmental coordination.
