Through the Hiring Our Heroes program, selected fellows participate in a fully funded 12-week fellowship. The fellowship includes on-the-job training with BCD and is augmented with weekly educational sessions hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The fellows are fully immersed in education and training experiences in various departments, including Business Analytics, Global CDS Operations, Information Security, People and Culture, and Talent Acquisition.
Military spouse fellow Liz Dryden, who completed her fellowship program with with BCD’s Talent Acquisition team, said, “The Global Talent Acquisition team invested in my career development and provided me with the guidance necessary to make a successful career pivot.”
Military spouse fellow Sammishrana Shrestha completed her fellowship as a Business Analyst with BCD Meetings & Events. “I had fantastic mentorship and support/training throughout the entire program,” Shrestha said. “I’ve had many internships in the past, but this experience was by far the best.”
HOH is the second partnership we’ve undertaken to support the military community. Last year, we joined the U.S. Department of Defense Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) program which offers military spouses broader exposure to opportunities and careers in the business travel workforce.
