From late November 2021, countries around the world started to reimpose travel restrictions in response to rapidly emerging concerns about the Omicron variant of COVID-19, which the World Health Organization (WHO) has classified as a variant of concern.
New restrictions have involved reversing some of the freedoms recently extended to fully-vaccinated travelers.
