BCD employee-turned-singer nabs Microsoft gig

Database administrator Homer McEwen makes songs to simplify IT.

BCD Travel employee Homer McEwen puts his passion about technology to music. McEwen, aka KillaDBA (the DBA stands for database administrator), writes and records songs about Microsoft’s SQL Server. On April 15, he’s scheduled to perform at a convention at Microsoft’s headquarters campus in Redmond, Washington.

In a recent Q&A with SQL Server Blog, McEwen described why he began writing songs to make information technology concepts easier to remember and more accessible to a general audience. Check out the blog, which includes a link to one of KillaDBA’s songs. You’ll find more of his tunes on YouTube. Just search for “KillaDBA.”
