With free WiFi on board, new boarding gates in TGV stations, a new class of service for business travellers and improved, personalised services, European high-speed trains in Europe (such as TGV, Thalys and Eurostar) offer the very best of travelling by train.
NEW TGV SERVICES
Responding to travellers requests, SNCF offers free WiFi on board, greatly improving the travel experience. Already available on several destinations within France, WiFi connections will soon be
To improve the travel experience, and to start the journey as smoothly as possible, SNCF has installed digital gates through which passengers must validate their tickets before accessing the platform. Thanks to this new easier and hassle free way of checking tickets, the train managers are more available for the travellers during the journey and able to take even better care of them. More and more railway stations will be equipped in 2018.
EUROPEEN CARRIERS ALSO ADAPT TO THE TRAVELLERS NEEDS
Whether it’s a question of pricing, flexibility or on board services, carriers always strive to adapt and provide passengers with the best travel experience to better meet the traveller’s needs. At the end of 2017 Thalys and TGV Lyria (high speed trains between France and Switzerland) launched a third class of service on board. Business travellers can now appreciate first class comfort (larger seats, quieter environment) without paying higher costs of the additional premium services.
Eurostar have also been listening to customers’ feedback and launched a more suitable loyalty program: ‘Club Eurostar’ which offers rewards and incentives for frequent travellers. More good news is the new Eurostar direct service between London and Amsterdam. The first train service ran earlier in April.
