Tass Messinis

Managing Director

As the Managing Director of BCD Travel Australia, Tass oversees all commercial, financial and operational functions. Tass sets the company’s strategic direction to fulfill our mission of powering customer success by making the most of travel investment, keeping traveller’s safe and enhancing the traveller experience. He’s instrumental in shaping, strengthening and growing the company in Australia.

Tass has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and operations at a senior executive management level throughout Asia Pacific and the Middle East regions. He’s developed and implemented effective transformation, business development and go-to-market strategies for organisations within global travel services, corporate card financial services and information technology; ranging from large global companies to regional companies. Tass also holds qualifications in marketing, sales management and international business. He is a board director of Kudos Knowledge Limited, Semantic Intelligence Group Pty Ltd and ex-board member of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA 2011-12).

Richard Bristow

Director of Finance

As director of Finance, Richard is responsible for ensuring financial performance and profitable growth through operational finance, accounting and financial planning. He partners with the senior leadership team to provide strategic financial guidance to ensure BCD Travel Australia delivers quality service to our clients.

Richard, a certified public accountant (CPA), has over 18 years of experience working with large companies in Australia and the United Kingdom. He has extensive experience in management accounting, financial planning and analysis, as well as commercial decision support.


Denise Farrell

Senior Director of Operations

As Senior Director of Operations, Denise heads our national operations team and oversees day-to-day travel operations. She ensures the delivery and achievement of key operational and financial requirements. She drives process and solution changes to improve productivity and service delivery and position the organization for future growth.

Denise has more than 20 years working in air and travel. She brings a unique combination of operational and people management experience to her new role. Her previous roles focused on change management, process improvement and project management for United Airlines and a large TMC.

Gary Bothwell

Director of Technology and Client Solutions


As Director of Technology and Client Solutions, Gary is responsible for both internal and client-facing technology for the Australian market, as well as implementation and project management. He drives program integration and innovation to exceed our client’s goals and to evolve BCD’s unique value proposition.

Gary has 8 years of top level experience in travel technology and product management, as well as 10 years’ experience in information technology management. He has a real passion for delivering business-to-consumer solutions in the modern corporate world.

Simon Halpin

Director of Account Management

As Director of Account Management, Simon is responsible for client retention, quality service delivery and client satisfaction. He partners with our leaders in Operations and Technology to maximise preferred vendor usage through technology implementation and servicing. His team ensures our clients achieve their corporate travel objectives.

Simon is a seasoned travel professional with over 15 years travel industry experience working in Sales, Account Management and Operations. This, along with the strong customer service focus gained from his degree from The Hotel School – InterContinental Hotel Sydney, helps him ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Paula Donaldson

Director of Supplier Relations

As Director of Supplier Relations, Paula manages all aspects of the Australian supplier portfolio including developing supplier strategy, contract negotiation and relationship development and continuance. She leads business reviews to ensure operational requirements are met and oversees supplier budgets, payment and profitability.

Paula’s travel career spans over 27 years having worked within some of Australia’s largest airlines and travel management companies. She has vast experience in Account Management, Sales, Product and Marketing, and Supplier Relations.

Jordan McNamara

Director of Human Resources


As the Director for Human Resources, Jordan has overall responsibility for managing the HR function in Australia.  She oversees talent management, HR policy and employment legislation, IR/ER, organisational design and development, remuneration and benefits, employee well being and workplace safety.

Jordan has over 10 years of management experience in human resources and recruitment, and prior to her appointment with BCD Travel in 2011, she worked for some of the country’s largest transport, logistics, and pharmaceutical companies.


Leanne Zeid

Country Director, BCD Travel Meetings & Events

As Country Director, Leanne provides strategic management, direction and leadership to BCD Meetings & Events in Australia. Leanne ensures we continue to grow and evolve with our changing customer expectations. She’s an experienced senior business development and marketing professional with over 15 years of experience in meetings management, incentive travel management, and events. She’s worked in a variety of industries including travel management, hospitality and destination marketing.
