Greg O’Neil has over 40 years of global travel management experience and is responsible for the management of BCD Travel’s operations in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, as well as the BCD Global Network, a key component in our service and value to clients.
After assuming leadership of the Asia-Pacific region in 2006, Greg oversaw significant growth in BCD’s regional footprint through acquisitions in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore.
Prior to joining BCD Travel, Greg spent 10 years as president and CEO of SYNERGI, Inc., a USD$10 billion global corporation delivering travel management services through business travel firms in more than 50 major business markets, including Africa and the Middle East. Greg grew the company from operations in six countries in 1992 to 89 countries by the end of 2005, thanks to his strong focus on branding, operation, technology and training.
Greg also has extensive U.S. travel management experience, with former positions including vice president of operations and technology and director of strategic consulting for two of the largest U.S. travel management firms.
As executive sponsor of our global Diversity and Inclusion Council, Greg works with a cross-functional, cross-regional team on programs and initiatives to bring different voices, backgrounds and perspectives into our workforce—and nurture and celebrate them once they’re here. Greg also spends much of his personal time raising awareness for underprivileged children and supporting children’s homes through fundraising activities.
