Jonathan Kao
Managing Director, North Asia
As the managing director of North Asia, Jonathan Kao oversees all commercial, financial and operational functions in Greater China and Japan. Jonathan sets the company’s strategic direction to fulfil our mission of powering customer success by making the most of travel investment, keeping travellers safe and enhancing the traveller experience. Jonathan’s deep understanding of the Asia-Pacific region’s intricate technical, operational, and cultural nuances has played an instrumental role in shaping, strengthening and growing the company in Greater China and Japan.
Jonathan has over 23 years of experience within the corporate travel industry. His extensive experience and deep industry knowledge is derived from creating effective managed travel programs for local and regional companies of varying size and complexity and harmonizing the overall BCD experience for clients across multiple markets.
He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in e-Business from the City University of Hong Kong. Additionally, as a Chartered Financial Analyst, Jonathan brings critical analysis and financial acumen to support clients’ more complex needs.
Jonathan lives in Shanghai, China.
