Some hotels are remembered for their location, while others stay with travelers because of how they connect them to the culture, people and stories of a destination. That philosophy sits at the heart of Colbert Collection, a hospitality brand created for those seeking authentic experiences shaped by gastronomy, creativity and meaningful human connections. Inspired by the spirit of Parisian cafés and the original Colbert bistro in London, the collection brings together distinctive independent hotels that celebrate the art of place, the art of gathering and the art of taste.

The first hotel to open under the brand is Porta Rossa Hotel Firenze, Colbert Collection, located in the heart of Florence’s historic center. Officially launched in May 2026, the property marks the global debut of Colbert Collection and embodies the brand’s philosophy through a blend of heritage, culture and culinary discovery.

Believed to be Italy’s oldest hotel, Porta Rossa occupies a medieval tower and a Renaissance palazzo on Via Porta Rossa, just steps from iconic landmarks including the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. Following an extensive renovation, the hotel has been carefully restored to preserve its unique character while introducing refined contemporary comforts.

The property features 69 rooms and suites, many showcasing original frescoes, historic architectural details and centuries-old craftsmanship. Among its most distinctive accommodations is the Torre Monalda Suite, located within a 13th-century tower and offering panoramic views across Florence. Throughout the hotel, guests are immersed in stories that reflect the city’s artistic, cultural and commercial heritage.

True to the Colbert Collection ethos, the experience extends beyond the guest room. Culinary traditions, local encounters and curated cultural experiences invite visitors to engage with Florence on a deeper level, creating a stay defined not just by where they are, but by how the destination makes them feel.

The story does not end in Florence. Colbert Collection is already preparing for its next milestone with the upcoming opening of The WestDill Mayfair Hotel London, Colbert Collection, scheduled for Q4 2026. Set within a Grade II-listed building on Piccadilly, the 50-room hotel will bring the brand’s emphasis on culture, culinary excellence and genuine social connection to the heart of Mayfair. Classical architecture, contemporary creativity and one of London’s most prestigious locations will combine to create a distinctive addition to the growing collection.

Together, Florence and London illustrate the ambition behind Colbert Collection: a portfolio of characterful hotels that celebrate the individuality of each destination while creating memorable moments through culture, conversation and exceptional hospitality.
