Pre-trip approval automation helps company fulfil its duty of care commitment


With the added complexity of travelling post Covid, our client, a Global company operating in 27 countries, asked us to improve pre-trip approval to ensure the safety of their travellers.

While there are various approval tools in the market, the client required a bespoke solution to meet their business needs.


Pre-Covid the client had workflow approval in place. We created a customised solution to integrate into the client’s financial system and existing approval structure.

We worked closely with the client to build new rules to fit their unique needs. We also implemented a same day approval rule and built in a caveat to automate pre- trip approval as much as possible, saving time on the approval process.

We pass data to the clients ERP system and feed bookings into the SAP approval workflow. This way, once our consultants conclude a booking with options of the client’s choice, they push the booking with the associated costs into the client’s SAP approval structure.

This allowed the travel cost to follow the correct approval workflow, thus driving accurate cost curbing and increased policy compliance.
