The new routes being launched are Los Angeles to Stockholm, Miami to Oslo and Miami to Copenhagen. SAS is also increasing the number of departures from Newark and Chicago to Stockholm. This means that SAS will now offer over 330,000 additional seats on its intercontinental routes in 2016.
SAS is investing in the future and strengthening its offer to Scandinavia’s frequent flyers. SAS knows that its frequent travelers are demanding smooth travel with a good timetable and daily departures. With the new nonstop routes, combined with the renewal of its long-haul fleet and wide network, SAS has by far the strongest offering between the US and Scandinavia.
Los Angeles to Stockholm
SAS will tap into the demand for both business and leisure travel from Los Angeles to Stockholm. Travelers will arrive in good time for a relaxing afternoon in Stockholm or for an excellent connection to domestic, Scandinavian and European destinations. The flight will also attract travelers from Southern California, Hawaii, Mexico, Central and South America. The first flight from Los Angeles will leave on March 14, and SAS will have daily departures from Los Angeles to Stockholm throughout the summer season and five-six weekly departures in the winter season.
Miami to Copenhagen and Oslo
Miami is an important center for trade and a gateway for travel to Europe from the Caribbean as well as from Mexico, Central and South America. The first flights to Copenhagen and Oslo are expected to lift off in fall 2016 and the Miami routes will offer a daily departure to Scandinavia.
