Video: Managed Travel Index for peer benchmarking

BCD to demonstrate tool at GBTA Berlin 2018, Nov. 27-29.

A peer benchmarking feature that allows travel buyers to rank their programs against peers has been activated within the Managed Travel Index® (MTI®) tool developed by the Global Business Travel Association. Improved by GBTA and BCD Travel in 2016, the MTI® is designed to help non-supplier travel professionals identify areas of strength and opportunity in a managed travel program—and make their jobs easier.

The MTI will be on display at the upcoming GBTA Conference in Berlin, Nov. 27-29. Attendees may register in advance for demos taking place during the conference’s Knowledge Bazaar.

In a video interview, BCD Travel’s Kjarsten Philipsen explains MTI’s benefits. “We know how difficult it can be to measure a program,” Philipsen tells GBTA’s Heather Haley during a conversation at the association’s conference in San Diego earlier this year. The MTI® “simplifies the time, energy and effort” it takes to accurately benchmark a program and create a strategy for improvement, says Philipsen, senior vice president of the Americas for BCD.
