Program benchmarking and hotel sourcing strategies are among the hotbed topics BCD Travel experts will discuss at the Global Business Travel Association Conference in Berlin, Nov. 27-29. Attendees can meet with BCD leaders at their booth or in education sessions, including a 15-minute demonstration of the Managed Travel Index® (MTI®) during GBTA Berlin’s Knowledge Bazaar. For buyers only, the Knowledge Bazaar sessions require advanced registration.
Improved by GBTA and BCD Travel in 2016, the MTI benchmarking tool helps non-supplier travel professionals identify areas of strength and opportunity within their travel programs. The MTI® now lets travel professionals rank their programs against their peers in the areas of:
- Duty of care
- Policy
- Communication
- Expense
- Performance management
- Sourcing
- Technology
How MTI® works:
Travel professionals can select any of seven self-contained modules for benchmarking. Each is comprised of a battery of questions. The answers prompt recommendations. Travel managers can act on those recommendations, then go back to the tool to evaluate progress.
