At the recent Global Business Travel Association convention in Orlando, nearly 7,000 industry professionals came together to share innovations, ideas and discoveries. We looked at the changing nature of the traveler and how those changes are having an impact on travel programs and the people who run them. And we talked about how we’re adapting and striving to achieve mutual success in an ever-evolving industry. The #Sharing theme put the sharing economy at center stage. Take a look at Advito’s Sharing Economy white paper for guidance on investigating and evaluating sharing economy providers for your travel program.
Here’s a recap of what was on tap at GBTA:
BCD Travel, Advito and BCD Meetings & Events experts offered guidance and shared insights on the latest trends and strategies—everything from travel risk management to traveler engagement and virtual payment solutions. If you were at GBTA but missed one of our experts’ GBTA sessions, download it from the My Convention Planner section of the GBTA website. If you couldn’t make it to GBTA but want to know more about these topics, ask your account manager for details.
The BCD Travel theme this year was #BCDtheChange. We encouraged attendees to embrace change in all forms, including the digital transformation afoot in the business travel industry. The conversation will continue on Twitter all year long—follow @BCDTravel and join in. BCD donated $1 to The BCD Group Employee & friends Charitable Foundation for every tweet using the #BCDtheChange hashtag. And for leading the way in the BCD Travel Twitter challenge, one lucky tweeter was the winner of an Apple Watch. Thanks to all for participating.
