BCD Travel has been named a 2020 Top U.S. Member on a list of companies working with ECPAT-USA and The Tourism Child Protection Code of Conduct (The Code) to combat child sexual exploitation. The travel management agency is one of 16 U.S.-based companies on the Top Member list and is one of four being newly recognized this year.

The Code is a set of six voluntary guidelines that travel and tourism companies implement to raise awareness around the commercial sexual exploitation of children. In order for a company to be recognized as a Top Member, companies must implement all six of The Code criteria within their business operations and report publicly on TheCode.Org website. The Top Members are guided through their membership and implementation by ECPAT-USA.

“We congratulate the Code Top Members and thank all of our corporate partners for continuing to make child protection a priority at your company,” said Yvonne Chen, ECPAT-USA’s Director of Private Sector Engagement. “We look forward to continuing to work together toward ending child sex trafficking and exploitation.”

BCD has been a global ECPAT member since 2017. The travel management agency joined The Code in 2014.[/vc_column_text]
