BCD Travel experts will offer insights into the future of travel payments at the 2016 Association of Corporate Travel Executives Global Conference, Oct. 26-28 in Amsterdam.

The conference brings together corporate travel and airline professionals to seek solutions to industry challenges, said Heinz Jennewein, EMEA senior vice president for BCD. “It provides meaningful and relevant learning experiences, quality networking time and opportunities to raise brand awareness,” he said. “That’s why we and many of our clients participate.”

BCD experts will be on hand throughout the conference at booth No. 10 in the exhibition hall to advise travel managers on how to adapt — and thrive — amid the industry’s constant changes. In addition, BCD Vice President of Commercial Payment Solutions Mario Kriebel will participate in two conference panels:

Understanding Virtual Payments, Oct. 27, 1:45-3 p.m.

Kriebel and other industry leaders will talk about changes in virtual payments and give an update on acceptance and implementation. Attendees will learn how virtual payments work, how to manage new payment technology and how to prepare for challenges. The session will cover best practices that maximize benefits of virtual payments.

The Future of Travel Payments, Oct. 28, 10:30-11:30 a.m.

The session will cover fraud and other risks, costs of compliance and what the European Union’s multilateral interchange fees regulations could mean for corporate travel programs.

Visit booth No. 10 to tap into BCD’s other areas of expertise and explore the travel management company’s solutions, including:

Risk & Security

Today’s business requires travel, and travel includes risk. Companies and their on-the-road employees must be prepared. A company that doesn’t have a plan in place when a crisis occurs could face legal and financial consequents—potentially damaging its reputation and bottom line. BCD Travel offers solutions that can help.

TripSource®

Business travel can be stressful: last-minute flight changes, unfamiliar destinations, travel information spread across devices, apps and paper itineraries. It’s enough to distract even the savviest of travelers. That’s why BCD has developed TripSource, a free service exclusively for BCD travelers that puts travelers in control of their trip from start to finish.

 TripSource® Hotels

The hotel-booking feature within TripSource offers travelers a consumer-like booking experience, while also giving travel managers the data and control they need to track spending, negotiate with hotels and provide for their employees’ safety and security. TripSource® Hotels keeps hotel programs consolidated, gives visibility on program performance and helps manage traveler compliance and safety—all through one partner.

Multisource data consolidation

Travel programs are producing more data from more sources, so travel managers should have more insights than ever. Right? That depends on the comprehensiveness and quality of your data and your analytical tools. BCD provides corporate travel programs with the quality-driven processes and tools that ensure their data to works for them. The results: more successful supplier negotiations; a better understanding of and greater influence on traveler behavior; and more ways to reduce spend.

Alternative data streams

BCD Travel has partnered with Airbnb to integrate the alternative accommodation provider’s data into DecisionSource® Security as part of BCD’s enhanced Risk & Security offering. This integration provides companies with booking data and maps of employees’ alternative lodging accommodations—essential information in a crisis.
