In a recent Q&A and video interview, BTN Hall of Famer Cindy Heston talks about how forging strong partnerships with suppliers has been essential to building a well-controlled corporate travel program. Heston is director of travel and events for Anthem, a U.S. health insurer and BCD Travel client.
Heston told Business Travel News that she looks for “suppliers that are nimble, who are agile, who are hungry and really want to grow and develop a partnership.” She describes what she’s seeking as “beyond-contract value from a partner.”
