BCD adds air booking capability to TripSource platform

TripSourceGo lets travelers shop and book flights and hotels via app or web.

Booking air travel is getting easier for travelers using the TripSource® platform. The global travel management company announced its new expanded booking capability, TripSourceGo, will allow its clients’ business travelers to shop for and book hotel rooms and flights through TripSource.

The platform provides access from any connected device. This increase in traveler convenience closely follows BCD’s recent announcement that TripSource is adding Alexa-enabled voice activation.

How it works

TripSourceGo searches multiple air channels, including low-cost carriers, giving business travelers more flight choices than ever before. Travelers can use TripSourceGo to access their company-preferred online booking tools, in addition to managing their entire trip via the TripSource app or website. Travelers also can check baggage fees, seat maps, in-flight meals and Wi-Fi options. Companies can customize traveler air choices to fit travel and approval policies.

“Business travelers, like everyone else, are looking for ways to simplify their tasks,” said Yannis Karmis, BCD’s senior vice president of Product Planning & Development. “We want to make it as easy and pleasant to book the company’s preferred air and hotel content as it is to buy a mobile charger on Amazon Prime.”

In the coming months, TripSourceGo will add air booking to the widely successful hotel booking capabilities launched two years ago. Ground, rail and car booking will follow. TripSourceGo will roll out first to clients in Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States, with additional markets to follow.

BCD will showcase TripSourceGo and Alexa voice activation at Booth 2334 at the upcoming Global Business Travel Association Convention in San Diego, Aug. 11-15.
