Research Snapshot: Travel suppliers and wellbeing

Air and accommodation providers could improve traveler wellbeing adjusting their services and amenities to the traveler needs.

We asked business travelers about the services and amenities contributing to their wellbeing on-board an airplane and at a hotel. Here’s
what we learnt.

  • When traveling by air, free WiFi, ample space and in-flight entertainment are among the top three amenities contributing to traveler wellbeing, followed by healthy food and pleasant temperature.
  • At a hotel, temperature control, good soundproofing and ventilation are of primary importance to traveler wellbeing. Healthy menu and availability of gym come next. Amenities for meditation happen to be the least important both on board a plane and at a hotel.
