According to BCD Travel’s Cities & Trends Europe 2023 edition, Amsterdam and New York are the most visited cities for European business travelers. The most popular countries are Germany and the United States. The report is based on BCD flight and car rental data in 2023 in a range of European markets.

BCD Travel recently surveyed more than 900 business travelers in North America and Europe who rented a car at least once last year. The survey looked at traveler behavior and satisfaction as well as trends in car rental for business travel. According to the survey, most business travelers rent a car to visit their company’s office, meet with clients or provide onsite service.

To support companies in their quest for sustainable business travel, BCD Travel China, GSTC and Colorful Earth have entered a partnership for 2024. In a collaborative effort, the partners are set to unveil the "Sustainable Business Travel Strategy Guide" along with a suite of training programs targeted at corporate clients, their travel managers and sustainability professionals.

The announcement was made at the 16th annual The Beat Live on Dec. 5 in New York City. The Beat, a widely read business travel newsletter and website published by the BTN Group, asks readers each year to name their most admired technology company, travel management company, airline, payment company, lodging brand and car rental brand.

Spain's leading travel group Ávoris Corporación Empresarial and BCD Travel have expanded their strategic partnership to Portugal. Travel agency Barceló Viagens, part of the Ávoris group, is one of Portugal’s leading travel companies. As BCD’s exclusive official representative in Portugal and member of its Global Network, they will now operate as BCD Travel Portugal.
