BCD Travel recognized as top agency for encouraging sustainable travel

SNCF, France’s national state-owned railway company, awarded BCD for advocating sustainable travel to its employees and clients.

SNCF recognized BCD Travel among its first recipients of the “Ecomobility” award. The award was presented Sept. 13 in Paris during the first “Grand Prix of Ecomobility” organized by SNCF to face the climate challenge.

The jury received some 50 entries from companies and travel agencies specializing in business travel. They selected six winners in different categories.

BCD, winner in the category “Travel Agency,” impressed the jury with the following:

  • Incentivizing employees to develop sustainable behavior through sustainable mobility packages, sharing of personal experiences, etc.
  • Challenging clients to incorporate sustainability into their travel policies.
  • Helping clients make their travel programs more sustainable with Advito’s four-step approach: travel less, travel smarter, use sustainable suppliers and set achievable science-based targets.

Valérie Sasset, Managing Director of BCD France, said, “I am proud that our sustainability efforts have been recognized because we’re investing a lot in our employees with our mobility package. I am also proud of our Advito approach as we have been advocating smarter travel for several years.”
