Airlines are implementing new and improved cleanliness and hygiene processes to reassure travelers that they’re doing all they can to protect them against COVID-19. In some cases, these measures may differ from the hygiene procedures implemented by individual airports. Our new What You Need To Know: Airline cleanliness report summarizes what airlines are doing and planning, starting with the Middle East. Measures by airlines in other regions will be gradually added soon.

This report will keep track of all new and improved airline processes, which include:

  • Complementary check-in and boarding measures, such as providing safety kits with face masks, gloves and hand sanitizers and passenger boarding by row from back to front
  • Additional cleaning measures
  • Strict procedures for preparing meals and delivering food and drinks.
