About World Environment Day
The largest global event of its kind, World Environment Day is the United Nations’ annual campaign to raise awareness about environmental concerns and encourage citizens worldwide to protect the earth. Held each year on June 5, the event is sponsored by a host country that chooses the theme. This year’s host, Canada, chose the theme and hashtag: #withnature.
