BCD Travel’s annual corporate social responsibility report, recently submitted to the United Nations Global Compact, highlights activities that support the company’s commitment to corporate citizenship, ethical business practices and employee appreciation.

The Communication on Progress report also describes how BCD supports the U.N. Global Compact’s 10 principles for doing business with integrity by meeting fundamental responsibilities in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
BCD Travel President and Chief Executive Officer John Snyder said the Communication on Progress reflects employees’ dedication to CSR. “We appreciate and applaud their participation in our pledge to conserve this world, our business and their workplace,” he said.
CSR achievements outlined in the report are bolstered by BCD’s recognition from the business travel industry and beyond:
- The GBTA Foundation recently awarded BCD a Project ICARUS Sustainability Outstanding Achievement Award. It marked the company’s second ICARUS recognition in the last three years.
- Forbes magazine ranked BCD Travel among America’s Best 500 Employers of 2016—the highest ranking of any travel management company on the list. Forbes ranked BCD Travel No. 231, a significant gain from the No. 462 ranking BCD achieved in 2015.
- In late 2015, BCD Travel was named Most Admired Travel Management Company for the third year running by readers of industry newsletter, The Beat. The recognition reflected results of a poll that asked readers which industry suppliers they most admire for their policies, management style and service to clients.
BCD’s CSR priorities and successes also feed into its offerings to clients through products and services designed to improve security, wellness, productivity and safety for corporate customers and their business travelers.
