John Snyder named among most influential

BCD Travel’s John Snyder has been named to the list of the Top 25 Most Influential Business Travel Executives.

John Snyder, BCD Travel’s global president and chief executive officer, has been named to The BTN Group’s list of the Top 25 Most Influential Business Travel Executives.

The list was released Dec. 2 by The BTN Group, publisher of Business Travel News. The annual compilation, now in its third decade, honors industry leaders behind the year’s biggest innovations, mergers and acquisitions and other newsmaking events. Snyder played a central role in BCD Travel’s purchase of Tbiz from Travelocity, one of 2013’s largest corporate travel industry acquisitions.

In addition to recognizing Snyder, the BTN Group inducted former BCD Travel President Danny Hood into its Business Travel Hall of Fame. Hood was recognized for his contributions to furthering direct-connect technology and online booking engines, as well as creating the first touchless online e-fulfillment center.

BCD Travel founder John Fentener van Vlissingen and former Worldtravel Partners Chief Executive Officer Jack Alexander have been honored by BTN in the past. Worldtravel Partners merged with TQ3 Travel Solutions and The Travel Company in 2006 to become BCD Travel.

Snyder’s peers on the 2013 most-influential list include Cindy Heston of WellPoint (a BCD Travel client); Reggie Aggarwal of Cvent; Dean Forbes of KDS; and Dave Hilfman of United Airlines. The BTN Group does not rank those on the list; each individual receives equal recognition.
