A recent article on industry news website Business Travel News cites Advito in predictions that corporate negotiated hotel rates for 2015 will be higher than previously projected in several regions. Marwan Batrouni, Advito’s hotel practice leader, explains, “North America, Europe and Africa all proved more challenging than expected for travel buyers in hotel rate negotiations as demand strengthened in those regions.”
Corporate hotel rates in Asia Pacific and Latin America are on par with Advito’s previous forecast. Rates in the Middle East, however, are down from earlier predictions. “Overall demand is down in the region due to political instability,” says Batrouni.
