ACTE’s special recognition for Chris Crowley

ACTE awards BCD Travel executive Chris Crowley with its Presidents Award, the group’s highest professional honor.

The Association of Corporate Travel Executives has awarded BCD Travel executive Chris Crowley with its Presidents Award, the group’s highest professional honor.

Crowley, senior vice president of BCD Travel’s Global Client Team in EMEA, received the award at ACTE’s global conference in Barcelona in October.

ACTE President Suzanne Neufang said Crowley has become “something of a legend” in business travel circles. “He joined ACTE in 2001 and has attended every global conference since then, very often serving with distinction as a voice on the conference planning committee,” she said.

Crowley first took his place on the ACTE Board of Directors in 2005. “He returned to the board five years later when he was named ACTE President in 2010, and introduced several ambitious programs that have made ACTE what it is today,” Neufang said, noting that Crowley’s global philosophy has been instrumental in expanding the association’s reach.

“Chris Crowley’s accomplishments also say a lot for BCD Travel’s commitment to ACTE over the years,” she said. “Executive talent goes far when backed by corporate confidence and leadership.”
