The Lufthansa Group supports the offer of free PCR-tests at German airports to enable travelers to carry out any necessary testing before arriving in or returning from certain countries.
Since August 1, 2020, passengers arriving from non-risk countries can be tested on a voluntary basis. The test is free of charge, if it is carried out up to 72 hours after entering Germany.
Passengers arriving from regions with an increased risk of infection need to get tested when entering Germany. The test is free of charge and has to be done within 72 hours after entering the country.
Tests from abroad are also valid, provided they are not older than 48 hours at the time of arrival and meet the official requirements of the Robert Koch Institute.
