Deutsche Hospitality continues on its expansion course in 2019. Characterized by elaborate renovations and exciting new openings, the Steigenberger brand and its individual properties are experiencing the “Evolution Steigenberger”. Simultaneously, the portfolio of the MAXX by Steigenberger brand will be expanded to up to twelve hotels in Germany by the end of 2022.
More than 13 years have passed since the opening of the Steigenberger Hotel de Saxe in Dresden. Over the past few months, the hotel has undergone extensive renovation. Not only was Steigenberger’s Evolution implemented, but there was a clear focus on sustainability. For example, elements of the original furnishings were refurbished and reused.
The Steigenberger Alsik Hotel & Spa opened in May this year in Sønderborg. It was the brand’s first property on scandinavian soil. One highlight is the F&B concept, for which the Danish star chef Jesper Koch is responsible. It will be implemented in three restaurants, a spa café and a bar. In addition, the four-storey wellness and beauty spa area, covers more than 4,500 m² and boasts a striking view of the Sønderborg city harbour.
The new MAXX by Steigenberger Sanssouci Potsdam is perfectly located in the city center, yet still surrounded by green. The newest hotel to the still young brand is equally suitable for business travelers and city explorers. Potsdam itself offers an almost inexhaustible number of sights, and thanks to the Potsdam Travel Card, hotel guests can discover Potsdam and Berlin free of charge by public transport.
