“Mobile is the future of our business,” BCD Travel President and Chief Executive Officer John Snyder said during a recent investor conference in New York City. As reported by The Beat, Snyder highlighted enhancements for BCD’s TripSource mobile application, including hotel sales and itinerary capture for bookings transacted outside the agency channel.
He described mobile hotel booking as a “ key initiative” for BCD, noting there’s plenty of opportunity in the industry’s traditionally low hotel-attachment rate. Snyder also detailed the travel management company’s plan to incorporate third-party itineraries into TripSource early next year. “Again, this is really the goal: to be able to bring in all the bookings that are made either inside or outside the travel program into the managed environment.”
