How the U.S. election could affect your travel program

BCD Travel expert advises travel managers to prepare for either outcome.

Every election year, a debate rages within the travel industry about the U.S. election’s impact on travel demand.

While no data shows a correlation between elections and a slowdown in travel, that does not mean the travel industry is immune to elections, advised BCD Travel Senior Director of Research & Intelligence Charuta Fadnis.

In a recent Out Front blog for business travel consultancy Advito, Fadnis explored the potential economic impact of a Democratic or Republican win. “Travel managers must now look to the year ahead and consider how the election and future president will affect their programs,” she said.
