Elevate the business of travel by encouraging women to climb the ladder

Creating a workplace where women succeed is the right thing to do and the smart thing to do, says one of BCD Travel’s highest-ranking female executives.

It’s a simple equation: Creating more leadership opportunities for women multiplies business, says BCD Travel’s Kathy Jackson.

“Supporting women in their careers is not only the right thing to do, it’s the smart thing to do,” said Jackson, who started as a travel agent more than three decades ago. She’s now an executive vice president for BCD Travel and a member of its leadership team.

“I know how hard I worked to get to where I am today, and I see that same drive in the women now moving up at BCD. Their success is the story of our future,” Jackson said in a LinkedIn post that highlights corporate social responsibility progress detailed in the company’s latest Sustainability Update.

Women now make up the largest share of employees being trained for leadership roles at the TMC. “Diversity is an important factor in business success,” Jackson said. “BCD wants to recruit, retain and promote people who are going to help us grow and evolve.”[/vc_column_text]
