A new British Airways service to Nashville launched in May 2018, flying customers direct between London Heathrow and the Tennessee capital five times a week. From April 2019 this frequency will be upgraded to daily. Once on board our Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, customers enjoy complimentary meals and a wide selection of films.
British Airways customers will soon enjoy a new service between Pittsburgh from London Heathrow. From April 2019, they can choose from four departures a week, and the launch marks the first direct route between London and the Pennsylvanian city. Africa will be upgraded with a new route to Durban and we have Osaka which will be served 4 times a week. This new route increases the number of daily flights between London and Japan offered as part of our Joined Business with Japan Airlines to 32 per week. Charleston will be served from the 31st of March 2019. The twice weekly service will initially operate between April 4 and October 24, 2019 on Thursdays and Sundays, using a 787-8 Dreamliner. The new route will take the number of US destinations British Airways fly to from London next summer up to 29.
Iberia now flies between Madrid and San Francisco, making California even more reachable for those flying from Europe. Customers can choose from three direct flights a week. Starting in July it will raise its capacity on routes to Montevideo, Quito, and Rio de Janeiro, offering daily flights to all three cities, while the airline will fly 10 times a week to Lima in July and August next year. The Spanish airline has also announced plans to fly its new Airbus A350s to Buenos Aires and to Chicago.
Iberia will use 289-seat A330/200s on this route, for a total annual supply of some 40,000 seats.
