BCD Travel will join Amadeus’ NDC-X program, which brings together new distribution capability initiatives across Amadeus’ lines of business as an information technology provider and an aggregator of travel content.
New distribution capability, or NCD, is a technical standard created by the International Air Transport Association to give airlines updated ways to sell their offerings. BCD’s partnerships with global distribution system providers and airlines reflect its commitment to moving the business travel industry forward in using new technologies and distribution capabilities to improve service to travelers and travel buyers.
“Our aim is to provide a seamless customer experience that drives the booking, spend management and security processes that add value to client programs,” said Thane Jackson, BCD’s vice president of Global Distribution & Channel Strategy. “We, along with the entire industry, will benefit from the program’s focus on practical NDC use cases in a test-and-learn environment to deliver improved capabilities.”
