BCD Travel Colombia declares its commitment towards mitigating the impact of its activities, products and services related to corporate travel taking special efforts in the following aspects:

Environmental

Promote the responsible use of natural resources within the organization: using the recycling program.

Promote the responsible use of water and energy.

Socio-cultural

Encourage and promote actions amongst the different stakeholders in order to generate awareness against:

  • All forms of exploitation and abuse of children and adolescents.
  • The promotion and illegal trafficking of wild flora and fauna.
  • The commercialization and illegal trafficking of goods with a historical and cultural value at regional, national and worldwide level.
  • Any form of discrimination based on race, religion, sexual preference, disability, or any other provisions of applicable laws.
  • Vulnerable social conditions focused towards children and the elder.

Economic

Establishing and managing mechanisms to:

  • Manage direct employment to keep conditions on fair and equitable terms.
  • Conduct training programs for the community that will generate employment opportunities within the company.

With the establishment of this policy, BCD Travel Colombia urges its employees, suppliers, colleagues and participants in the value chain of the tourism industry to share and disclose their commitment towards sustainable development.

BCD Travel is constantly promoting awareness against any traffic of flora, fauna and/or cultural heritage, as well as the exploitation and sexual abuse of children and adolescents as this is penalized by Colombian authorities.

Compromise Statement

The travel management company TRAVEL CLUB LTDA. –BCD Travel, identified with the National Tourism Registration Number 11, in its given nature as a Travel Management Company, as it is and all of its agencies and branches, is against the exploitation, pornography, Sexual tourism and other forms of sexual abuse that involve minors abiding the Law 679 of 2001 and Law 1336 of 2009. It warns of the legal consequences that breaching the provisions settled by Law 17 of 1981 and Resolution 1367 of 20, that correspond to the the comercializacion and illegal trafficking of species of wild fauna and flora.

The travel management company TRAVEL CLUB LTDA. –BCD Travel, identified with the National Tourism Registration Number 11, in its given nature as a Travel Management Company, as it is and all of its agencies and branches, is against the commercialization and illegal trafficking of regional and national cultural property mentioned in the Law 103 of 1931, Decree 904 of 1941, Law 397 of 1997, Decree 833 of 2002 and Law 1185 of 2008. Followed by the law 1335 of 2009 law protecting and keeping spaces that are free of smoke. BCDTravel also rejects discrimination or acts of racism towards vulnerable people under the Law 1482 of 2011 and Law 1752 of 2015. As well as rejecting child labor exploitation under Law 1098 of 2006 and Decree 2737 of 1989.
