BCD’s Moscovici named Vice President of Partnership and Research

BCD’s research and innovation expert Miriam Moscovici has been appointed the company’s Vice President of Partnership and Research. The change brings BCD’s SolutionSource® third-party marketplace under the same umbrella as the research and intelligence team that Moscovici already manages. The team of researchers and innovation experts together will identify concrete ways to solve problems in managed travel. They will continue to produce research and reports to stay abreast of the changes and trends that affect the industry and its ancillaries.

The power of solutions

Miriam Moscovoci, Vice President, Research & Innovation at BCD

SolutionSource is designed to extend corporate travel programs. The expansive and well-vetted portfolio of SolutionSource partners can help clients optimize program spend, influence traveler behavior or drive operational efficiencies with custom solutions. Third parties can easily connect to the platform and streamline client integrations, for shopping and booking, itinerary management or traveler identity.

BCD’s Research & Intelligence group is known for its research, surveys and reporting on industry topics like wellbeing, travel risk, travel trends, payment & expense and more. They proactively work to highlight opportunities for future and upcoming technological advancements from all sectors of the business world. Prior to the pandemic, BCD researchers annually produced the widely read Industry Forecast.

“There’s so much synergy between R&I and SolutionSource. We use research to glean what the future holds and watch it play out via our partners in SolutionSource. We’ll see innovations emerge as developers work with our APIs to create new solutions – that’s pretty amazing,” said Moscovici, who has spent 15 years at BCD on work closely linked to innovation and the travel tech arena. “This role not only gives me much greater visibility into what BCD already is doing well; it also provides me a front-row seat to what companies come up with for the next generation of travel management and technology.”

Building intelligence for business travel clients and buyers

Moscovici said SolutionSource partners are eager to work with BCD in sharing intelligence in a way that make clients and buyers even smarter. “For example, this past spring we surveyed travelers and buyers on their wellbeing needs. Our partner, Sanctifly, is emerging as the premier provider in the wellbeing space. Imagine what we can do together to help make travel wellness a priority for clients worldwide,” she said. “No other TMC can claim to have the industry knowledge and the solutions to support innovation at this level.”

The Partnership and Research team also will explore new opportunities for cross-over research with partners who independently produce thought leadership and their own primary data. Moscovici and team are already talking to SolutionSource partners about ways to optimize solutions to improve travel programs and services for clients and prospects. “We’re ready to push the boundaries of what’s possible,” Moscovici said. “We’ve just scratched the surface of the types of solutions and services that we in the business travel ecosystem can use to solve problems for customers. Our partners see our value and are coming to us for the capabilities and opportunities to serve mutual customers.”

Moscovici is based in the United States. Her industry experience and technology savvy, combined with a provocative communication style, keep her in high demand as a speaker, panelist and judge at events like ACTE, GBTA, and the PhoCusWright Innovation Summit. She was named a 2018 Corporate Travel Innovator by Skift, a global travel industry publication.
