BCD Travel reshuffles tasks of European leadership team
UTRECHT, Jan. 10, 2017 – Under the leadership of Stewart Harvey, President EMEA, BCD Travel, the Travel Management Company reorganized responsibilities in its European leadership team. There will be no personnel changes. With immediate effect Chris Crowley, Senior Vice President (SVP) EMEA, heads all EMEA commercial activities including Global and National Account Management and Sales. Heinz Jennewein, SVP EMEA, leads BCD’s operative business units including Business Travel Centers, Multinational Service Centers, Shared Service Centers and implants in EMEA. Stefan Vorndran, SVP EMEA, takes on a new role. He is responsible for partnerships and strategy and will continue to be managing director in Germany. Chris Tumbridge, SVP EMEA, now runs BCD’s quality management department and focuses on new services. Karen Smithson, SVP EMEA and responsible for service excellence, will continue in her current role. Same applies to Alex Escartin, Chief Financial Officer EMEA, and Christian Dahl, SVP Strategic Talent Management & Human Resources. Previously EMEA was divided into two separately-led regions – the “North Central” and the “South West” division. This divisional structure will no longer apply.
These changes are necessary, because more clients are making travel decisions that cross many countries. Furthermore, responses to market developments can now be faster, and more closely tailored to local and multinational customers. At the same time, BCD’s focus on new offerings and services in EMEA will increase.
Stewart Harvey, President EMEA, BCD Travel emphasizes: “One of the benefits of having a talented management team with such experience is the ability to change emphasis in roles and direct skills to new areas . These changes take advantages of our management team’s experience by allowing us to take decisions fast and adopt new practices to provide more services to clients and leadership for BCD in EMEA .”
