Please print a copy of this document as many airlines may require a copy of the e-ticket receipt at check in, and you may be required to present it for customs, immigration, airport security checks &/or duty free purchases.
Before travelling, check your passport is valid for at least six months from the date of your return to Australia. Please advise BCD Travel if you do NOT have an Australian passport, or if the name showing on your itinerary DOES NOT MATCH THE NAME IN YOUR PASSPORT. Non-Australian passport holders must hold a valid re-entry permit for return to Australia.
Please allow ample time for flight check-in and customs clearance. As a guideline, check in for Australian Domestic flights is at least 45 minutes prior to departure and for International Flights at least 90 minutes prior departure for Business/First Class, and at least 120 minutes prior departure for Economy Class. Check in and reconfirmation times may vary per airline. Please check directly with your airline’s website for the latest information. Failure to check in by the deadline may result in loss of fare or additional fees to upgrade to a higher fare for the next available flight.
Many major airlines offer online check in for domestic and international travel. Generally, online check in is available between 48 hours and 2 hours prior to departure. Please refer to your respective airline website for further information and to access online check in.
AUSTRALIAN DEPARTURE TERMINALS
Qantas flight numbers QF001 to QF399 and Jetstar flight numbers, JQ3, JQ30, JQ29, JQ35, JQ19, JQ57, JQ58, JQ20 operate from International Terminals. QF400 and above operate from the Domestic Terminal
SECURITY MEASURES & CARRY ON BAGGAGE RESTRICTIONS
Enhanced security measures have been introduced to limit the amount of liquids, aerosols, and gels that can be taken through the screening point for international travellers. Some countries require you hold a valid visa prior to your arrival. BCD Travel can assist with visa requirements but it is the responsibility of every traveller to ensure the correct documentation is held for each destination. If you have a criminal record it is your responsibility to contact the relevant Consulate or Embassy to determine your eligibility for entry to that country. BCD Travel cannot be held responsible for changes made to any Government regulations. Checked Baggage policies vary based on carrier, destination, booking class and frequent flyer status. Fees may apply and be payable at time of check in. For the latest information, please check with the airline.
Since many tickets are issued well in advance of the actual departure date and schedule changes do occur, we strongly suggest that you contact the airline you will be travelling with to verify flight times. Since airline schedules are subject to change without notice, it is suggested that the traveller always reconfirm reservations and that the transporting air carrier be contacted for applicable requirements.

Some airport security regulations require that all passengers present positive photo identification (such as a driver’s license or passport) before boarding an aircraft. Please check with the airline and your travel agent for proper documentation required for your flight.
SEATS AND MEALS
Seat selection and meal requests, based on traveller profile information, will be made whenever possible and included in the details of the itinerary. Airlines reserve the right to release pre-selected seats if check-in is not met. In some instances meal requests may not be available at time of travel due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the airlines control.
NO SHOWS, CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS
Many airlines, hotels and car hire companies charge cancellation penalties and no show fees. Please notify BCD Travel if you are unable to travel. Failure to comply may incur fees or forfeited bookings
Airline and other travel suppliers’ insurance for baggage may have limited coverage. Your personal insurance may not adequately cover losses incurred by cancellation, accident, illness, or stolen or damaged property. Travel insurance is highly recommended for all travel. Please ensure you are appropriately covered. If unsure, please contact your travel consultant.
Always present your frequent flyer card at check-in to ensure you receive your points. It is advisable to retain your boarding passes and check that your points have been credited to your next statement. If there are any discrepancies, contact your Frequent Flyer Club immediately.
