Luggage essentials for business travelers

Haven’t you forgotten anything? Here are a few tips before you go.

You have your laptop, your presentation and your toothbrush with you. Haven’t you forgotten anything? Here are a few tips before you go.

1 – First aid kit

Some bandages, disinfectant and painkillers, it doesn’t have to be much more. Really, you’ll be very happy in the middle of the night in that city where everything is closed and the local language is Russian or Chinese.

2 – Business cards

Do you have enough business cards? Also, consider having some business cards in English if you travel a lot.

3 – Mints

It may sound like a bad advertisement from the 90’s, but bring some mints for a fresh breath during a meeting or presentation.

4 – Copies

Scan or photograph your documents. Identity card, driving license, passport, travel documents and important medical information. If you lose them or get robbed, you can fall back on your digital copies.

5 – Chargers

You have your laptop and cell phone. Don’t forget to also pack your charger! A wireless power bank is very convenient too. And bring an international adapter, very convenient in countries with other power sockets.

6 – Extension cable

Do you use your mobile phone as an alarm clock when traveling? Just when you want to charge your phone and your tablet in your hotel room at night, you’ll see that there is only one socket, and of course all the way on the other side of the room.

7 – Water filter bottle

You can endlessly go on buying bottled water, but that’s bad for your wallet and the environment. Buy a water filter bottle and you can refill your bottle with water anywhere.

8 – Emergency ration

A packet of biscuits or salty nuts can be vital. You can get hungry when traveling or arrive late at night at a deserted hotel where the kitchen is closed. Then those biscuits come in handy.

9 – USB

Save your presentations, documents and files on a USB stick, because you never know…

10 – Sneakers

Pack a pair of comfortable shoes in your suitcase. Maybe you’d like to go jogging or you’ll have some time for sightseeing.
